Management

Management is simple really, it’s all about having someone who can help you review your options and make choices which best suit your desired career trajectory. They should spot opportunities that you may miss or help to spread your workload so you can focus on creating new music and developing your performance skills.

The complications start when the chemistry and empathy between the parties involved are not aligning. More than having a manager, it’s important to understand at which point in an artist’s career should they begin to need managing. This is where Radical Lounge comes in, our mission is to share our knowledge and use our best endeavours to teach artist how to effectively manage their own careers and develop an understanding of what qualities a good manager is looking for in an artist and what qualities an artist should be looking for in a suited manager.

Through master classes, consultation groups and one to one sessions, we will talk about production-scheduling, release planning, how to secure performance opportunities & get booked for gigs and even more importantly, managing your finance budgets. We want to share over a decade’s worth of knowledge and tips to help you not need a manager (and only then should you consider looking for a manager as you will have built something tangible for them to manage).

Consider the investor that wants to open a new music venue, they don’t hire a venue manager before they’ve even built and set up the venue itself.” Curtis Blanc (Tis)
