Radical Lounge Studio

The History

Radical Lounge was first established in 2011 as a popular open mic night in Ipswich by the artist Rayon Nelson. Rayon has since moved on to new opportunities as an independent artist and agreed that Tis would keep the brand alive. With Tis’s background in mentoring and personal development, an idea to use music to nurture and develop young people was born. Trading as Tisrespect, Tis teamed up with Little Polar Apps to take Radical Lounge on tour across parts of Suffolk. With a panel of independent artists, Radical Lounge set course to visit many youth groups, educational establishments, personal development workshops and prisons, to talk about how the journey of developing a music career teaches skills which can be used to develop personal areas of our lives. With inspirational song performances and meaningful discussion, young people were always left inspired. Working with the Prince’s Trust, Inspire Suffolk, Ipswich & Suffolk Council for Racial Equality, Ipswich International Church, Suffolk Mind, Suffolk One College & New Suffolk College, Radical Lounge has impacted many young people and continues to do so.

We thank Rayon for entrusting us with his brand and will always commit to opening doors for new independent music careers and creating high quality music from our community for our community.

The Company

Radical Lounge was re-established in 2019 by Tis and The Milsam Group. With Tis’s vison for artist development & studio production and The Milsam Group’s skills in business and investment, Radical Lounge Studio was established to offer artist & young people affordable access to industry level recoding facilities. Music technology is our business, artist development is our passion.

Studio Bio

Radical Lounge Studio is our digital instrument & vocal production

Our mission is to identify and remove technical and financial limitations to creative expression within our community. We want develop generations of young people to believe in them selves and to push the boundaries of their own creative potentials.

Our artist development program offers independent artists additional
advice and support in song writing, building online profiles, music distribution, understanding royalties, money management, brand monetisation, content creation, release strategies, understanding streaming services, and networking.

Our program also offers access to exclusive discounted recording sessions, mix & mastering bundle deals, audio production & music industry masterclasses, access to DAW templates and music industry mentorship. As lovers of music and dreamers of progress, we are dedicated to building a platform for shaping the positive role models and entertainers of tomorrow.
